Rob Edwards’ Hatters will be looking to bounce back after falling to defeat at Plymouth Argyle on Friday night.
Des Buckingham’s side picked up their tenth point of the season so far with a goalless draw against Burnley on the weekend.
The opposition
Oxford United returned to the second tier for the first time in 25 years when they beat Bolton Wanderers in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium in May.
The U’s have already made their impact on their return to this level, with victories against Norwich City, Preston North End, Stoke City and the draw with Burnley being the highlights.
Home soil is where Oxford have succeeded so far this season, however they are yet to pick up a point on their travels.

Defender Mads Andersen will also be unavailable, while Carlton Morris is unlikely to be risked in this fixture after sitting out at Plymouth.
Meanwhile, Teden Mengi could be involved after the knee injury he picked up against Argyle was not as bad as first feared.
Daiki Hashioka and Shandon Baptiste took part in sections of training but Tuesday’s game comes too soon for the pair.

A George Moncur double either side of half-time, accompanied by an Elliot Lee curler into the top corner meant the celebrations could begin for the Town as league champions.
