Charity golf day in support of Luton Town FC Community Trust

Barth Consulting are set to host a charity golf day at South Beds Golf Club on Friday 14th June.

All proceeds raised from the day will be donated to us here at Luton Town FC Community Trust and be used to support the work we do.

Registration is from 11.30am with bacon rolls available upon arrival. The golf itself begins at 1pm with a shotgun start. The day will be capped off with a meal following the golf, as well as a raffle and charity auction with a host of great items on offer. Entry is open to all, so round up your friends, family and colleagues, or register as an individual and we’ll find a group for you.

Louise Barth, Director of Barth Consulting and organiser of the event said: “I’m really looking forward to hosting the golf day. It’s shaping up to be a great, fun day, with friends, family and colleagues on a fabulous course right here in Luton. And all this whilst, supporting a very worthy charity that does so much amazing work with young people across Bedfordshire.”

A four-ball can be reserved for £350, including all of the catering and events throughout the day as described above. Individual places are £90. There are also sponsorship packages available. For further information please contact louise.barth@barthconsulting.co.uk or if you are ready to book, please complete the online booking form available through www.lutuntowncommunity.co.uk.

Queen Elizabeth School visit

Students from Queen Elizabeth School in Luton were excited to receive a visit from the BBC last week.

As part of their wider piece on the impact on the town since promotion to the Premier League, the BBC were particularly interested to hear that applications for the post-16 Education and Football Development programme had gone from 14 last year to a list of 59 and counting for this coming academic year!

Luton Town FC Community Trust have two members of staff permanently based at the school and have already seen the huge impact their work is having on the school.

Headteacher, Rhoda McPherson said: “The children are so proud and they absolutely love being part of Luton Town FC. To them it's part of their culture. For them it’s a real aspiration. It lifts their spirits and for them, they're playing for their community - and that's a huge deal.”
