The evening was hosted by Sufian Sadiq, with many local business people and other dignitaries in attendance, including Hatters chairman David Wilkinson.

The menu for the dinner was put together a month ago, during the 'Cook-off' event at Central Bedfordshire College in Dunstable. A number of students from the college, and two teams of chefs from Luton Town FC, Inspire FM, Luton Foodbank and Bartham Group competed to have their creations served on the night. The ingredients used to create the dishes were taken from a standard Luton Foodbank food parcel.

The evening, which was sponsored by Electrolux and AB Fruits was a huge success and helped to add over £1,000 to the grand total of fundraising undertaken by the Club since the partnership began last July.

At the end of the evening, David Wilkinson presented a cheque to Liz Stringer, Chair of Luton Foodbank for £18,013 - representing the money raised this season - a fantastic achievement.

Fundraising activities included the dedicated match day, where shirt sponsors Indigo Residential surrendered their place on the shirts for our match against Fleetwood Town, auction prizes at our Christmas and End of Season dinners, a football tournament, shirt auction and more.

"The partnership with Luton Foodbank has been a tremendous success this season. We'd like to thank everyone that has helped us to raise over £18,000 and we hope that we have also helped to raise the profile of the incredible work they do supporting people in our community at desperate times in their lives.", said Wilkinson.
