Volunteers will be collecting money outside the ground this afternoon and with your generosity will be raising vital funds to help relegate the most common cancer in men.

Luton Town manager Nathan Jones has also been showing his support. He's joined forces with more than 30 managers to give the most vital team talks of their careers after chilling statistics showed prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes.

The gaffers include Burnley's Sean Dyche and Newcastle United's Rafa Benitez as well as Championship duo Simon Grayson and Dean Smith, who both have personal connections with the disease. All will also be wearing Prostate Cancer UK's iconic 'man of Men' pin badge on the touchline during the 2017/18 campaign as the leading men's charity cranks up the serious message.

Jones said: "Prostate cancer is a hugely important issue and football can make a real difference in helping spread the message about the dangers of the disease, particularly when you see the worrying stats about two men dying every single game. That's not good enough.

"It's important that clubs and fans play their part in a number of ways, from wearing the Man of Men pin badge like me and other managers to taking on epic endurance events – and I'm proud that Luton were the first club to host a game at the Prostate Cancer UK Stadium.

"When you think that the capacity of our ground equates to the number of men that will die of prostate cancer per year, that's incredibly scary. Too many men are affected by this disease and we all need to get together to help turn things around."
