Wolves visit Kenilworth Road with the Hatters aiming to register their first points in the Premier League and Giles is hoping he can get one over his own side.

“I’m looking forward to it, but I don’t want to overhype it just because it’s Wolves,” says the 23-year-old.

“Wolves are a club I was at since I was seven, it’s a club I hugely respect. They gave me a platform to be the player I am today, and I will always appreciate that. It’s a case of it being another game, and unfortunately for them I want to beat them this weekend!

“It’s going to be massive test as the Premier League an unforgiving division.

“I know some of their players, having trained a bit with them this summer. There’s no hiding that they have some great players and I watched their first half against Liverpool as we were travelling to the game on Saturday, and in the first half they were outstanding.

“The Premier League is relentless, so we know that it’ll be a challenge, but we will prepare for that. It’s important we respect our opponents and then look for ways to hurt them.”

Saturday will see Kenilworth Road open its doors for the second time in the Premier League this season and Giles wants to repay the Town faithful for their incredible support that has been so evident in the opening four matches of the campaign.

“The support is massive – I think the fans know that and it’s something we’re also asking for from them,” he says.

“Even in the away games the stands have been sold out and you can see the fans embracing being in the Premier League because of the story and climb the club has had from non-league; it’s remarkable.

“We want to give the fans what they deserve: to stay here – and I think we can do this together, use Kenilworth Road a real fortress and make it tough for teams to come here.”
