The award means that Mpanzu has now taken the trophy home on three occasions this campaign – for October, December and last month – meaning he now moves ahead of James Collins who has won it twice.
The 25-year-old put in some sterling performances in the middle of the park for the Town over the course of January, notably scoring against Derby County in the 3-2 win at Kenilworth Road, and takes the award with 39 per cent of the vote ahead of second-placed Kazenga LuaLua.
Diamond season ticket holder Mike McMahon has been selected to present Pelly with the award after Wednesday night's game.
Well done Pell!
