The Hatters welcome Huddersfield Town to Kenilworth Road tomorrow afternoon as Graeme Jones’ team go in search of a third consecutive victory.

Wins over Barnsley and Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship and Carabao Cup has seen the Hatters build up a decent amount of momentum heading into the weekend, as they look to secure their first home league win of the new campaign.

A draw against Middlesbrough and a defeat to West Bromwich Albion at home – a loss that brought an end to an unbeaten run that stretched back to April 2018 – as well as the win over the Tykes sees the Town sit in 18th spot with four points.

The Terriers have struggled for form since dropping into the second tier, drawing just one of their opening five games, losing the other four. They have conceded 13 goals in those matches, two more than any other team, as they occupy second bottom.

The match will be the Hatters' last before the international break, with Luke Bolton joining up with the England Under-20s and Simon Sluga with Croatia.

Tomorrow’s game will be available for international iFollow Hatters subscribers to watch live with a match pass, whilst supporters in the UK who can’t make the game can tune in for Simon Pitts’ full match commentary.

Contactless card payment will be available around the ground at food and drink kiosks, so please take advantage of these to speed up queuing.

GRAEME JONES SAID:

Please be aware - these quotes are taken from Graeme’s press conference on Thursday

On Huddersfield coming down from the Premier League and what threats they possess now: “Three months ago they were facing all the big boys. Obviously the manager has changed, which can sometimes give a club impetus. I watched the Reading versus Huddersfield game in detail – they played well, they have got a real threat with Grant up front, La Parra on the left. So they have got some good players – Hogg is a good player for them – these are player with Premier League experience who know what it’s about, but I am just looking forward to the game.

“Obviously I went through that process myself at West Brom. There’s a huge fallout when a team gets relegated from the Premier League and I have said on record that West Brom for me and Darren was one of my most satisfying experiences in the game, because to make that club competitive after such a fallout from the Premier League was really difficult. There is a lot of politics to deal with, a lot of finance to deal with and I think Huddersfield has been a little bit of a result of that, but there’s no doubt they possess the quality to hurt anybody at any given time and we need to be aware of that.

“Grant is a good player, I watched the Reading game and we will have to be at our best to cope with him, but it doesn’t just come from him, they have got other qualities in their team, so it will test us, but that’s what we want. When we were in League One we wanted to get promoted to the Championship to enjoy these moments, to test ourselves the best we can, against Huddersfield and Leicester in the cup and that’s what we have got. We need to keep growing as a football club, keep growing on the pitch, so far that’s exactly what we have done.”

A recently relegated Premier League side, Huddersfield sit second bottom of the Championship, having taken one point from their opening five games.
