Alex Lawless is hoping a big crowd can get to Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night as his development squad take on Rangers Under-21s.

Season card holders and members are entitled to one ticket free of charge for the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, by purchasing or collecting tickets from the ticket office.

“It’s a game the boys are really looking forward to, against a big club like Rangers at the Kenny under the lights,” Lawless told lutontown.co.uk.

“It’s the international break, so those fans who want their football fix can come and support the lads. It’s important because a big crowd can certainly help for experience.

“Any game at Kenilworth Road is prestigious, and while it’s a friendly and there are no points on the line, it means a lot for us.

“To have as many fans as possible inside the stadium would be great to expose the boys to bigger crowds.”

For the second season running the Hatters will compete in the Premier League Cup, facing Burnley, Reading and Brighton, and the fixture with Rangers will act as the perfect preparation.

“We have a quite varied fixture list and we try and organise it that way so we’re able to give the boys different tests,” says Lawless.

“It might be a friendly but we will, of course, treat it as if it was a competitive game and it will be a good stepping stone for us to take into the Premier League Cup.”

While entry is free, they must be booked in advance. Tickets to non-season card holders or members are priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-17s.

Tickets will be located in the main stand enclosure and it is unreserved seating.
