HARRY CORNICK UP FOR CHAMPIONSHIP GOAL OF THE MONTH!

Hatters forward Harry Cornick's wonderful goal in the 1-1 draw at Leeds United last month has made the shortlist of three to be Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month.

This is how the league sponsors have described the goal that put the Town one up soon into the second half of the game at Elland Road. The league leaders came back to take a share of the spoils, of course, but it was a terrific result and a brilliant strike by Harry.

He is up against Marcus Tavernier of Middlesbrough and Fulham's Cyrus Christie, so please visit SkySports.com today to vote for him, as the poll closes tomorrow.

Marcus Tavernier – Stoke City v MIDDLESBROUGH – 27th June

Talk about instant impact. Tavernier had just come on the pitch when he chased a through ball, spun back inside, drove into space and whipped his low shot into the bottom corner.

Cyrus Christie – Queens Park Rangers v FULHAM – 30th June

With just five goals in 285 prior league games, Christie hardly rated as a threat when he stepped into the Fulham attack. The sweetness of a low 25-yard drive suggests otherwise.

Harry Cornick – Leeds United v LUTON TOWN – 30th June

The lone Luton attacker as he chased onto a pass, Cornick was happy to go solo, squaring up a defender before opening up his stance to curl a delightful shot into the far top corner.

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com.

The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Executive Matt Goodwin and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.
