The 26-year-old first arrived at Kenilworth Road in February 2015, scoring three times in 11 appearances during a loan spell from West Ham, before eventually signing on a permanent deal from Barnsley in the summer of 2017.
Since then Elliot has helped the Town to successive promotions from League Two to the Championship, registering 27 goals in 112 matches in all competitions and winning the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award during a superb run of personal form in November 2018, en route to the title success.
After starting the current campaign as a regular in the first team, he has found opportunities harder to come by in recent weeks with his only outing in the last two months coming in the 1-0 FA Cup third round win over Reading on January 9th.
Elliot, who has scored once in 16 appearances this term, will now aim to help Oxford in their bid for promotion from the third tier and everyone at Kenilworth Road wishes him well with the U’s.
