In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Hatters defender won with 21 per cent of the vote, adding to the accolades he has picked up this campaign, including a place in the EFL Sky Bet League Two Team of the Season, the PFA League Two Team of the Season and EA Sports EFL Team of the Season.
Hatters striker Elliot Lee finished in second place with 17 per cent.
In the final of four divisional votes carried out, it was clear that Sheehan's impact on Luton's return to English football's third tier was recognised by football fans up and down the UK.
