Watch | Rob reflects on replay victory

Town manager Rob Edwards had mixed emotions after the 2-1 FA Cup replay win at Bolton on Tuesday night.

Goals from Tahith Chong and Chiedozie Ogbene booked a place in the fourth round after the League One Trotters had taken an early lead.

“I’m pleased we’re through – tonight was all about winning but we were not at our best,” said Edwards afterwards.

“When we were at our best, we looked quite good, but then I thought we were a bit sloppy at times and that probably allowed them to grow into it.

“However, I’m very, very pleased we’re through. I think in these two games we’ve dropped a bit and we’ve nearly been punished. When we’re favourites it’s like we take our foot off the gas in certain moments, and we can’t afford to do that because we’re not good enough to do that.

“So we were a little bit off it but at the same time there was some good play in there. We had good chances but we were a bit sloppy.

“There were too many things I was frustrated with but tonight was all about winning. That was the challenge so I can’t fault the players too much.”
