The Leicester loanee rounded off his time as a Hatter in style, scoring his third goal of the season against Queens Park Rangers.

Although the match will ultimately go down as a defeat, Town achieved a 12th place finish in the Sky Bet Championship, with plenty of matches to remember.

“I have made some absolutely fantastic memories here at Luton," Dewsbury-Hall stated. "This has by far been the best footballing year of my career so far, I know it has been short but it will be a year I look back on for the rest of my career as my breakthrough season.

“Today it is disappointing to finish on a loss but I’m so proud of the lads at this football club. For 46 games to be grafting week in, week out, in a really tough year. To finish in the top half of the Championship, I know not many people would have said that at the start of the season and it is a credit to everyone here. I’m so proud to have been a part of that this season and I will cherish that for the rest of my career.”

After countless Man of the Match awards, three goals and six assists, the only key ingredient missing was 10,000 adoring home supporters watching Dewsbury-Hall develop throughout the season, who said: “I have said before that the only down side of this loan is that I have not been able to experience a full Kenilworth Road and the fans in full voice.

“That is the only thing I’ll be upset about coming away from this loan move. I’m just happy that they have been able to watch online and showed the fans what I can do because that was my aim coming in here. They are a fantastic fan base, the support I have been receiving over social media has been overwhelming so I can’t thank them enough, it has been great.”

Whilst his future is yet unknown at this point, the midfielder insists: “For me now, it is just about trying to progress and being the best version of myself for the next couple of seasons because it has been a fantastic season and I don’t want that to stall. I want to keep getting better and better.”
