Even though the Clarets arrive in Bedfordshire without a win in six matches so far this season, Edwards is under no illusions as to how tough a test Vincent Kompany’s side will pose under the lights.
“We need to remember how good they were in the Championship last season,” he said. “They were the best team by a long way. Since then they’ve improved, spent a decent amount of money and have improved again.
“It’s a difficult game – they are different to us. They have a different way of playing. They had 60 per cent of possession against Manchester United. Not many newly-promoted teams do that.
“So we know we’ve got to word hard without the ball and be good tactically tonight. But that’s us in every game.
“We’ll go into the game confident, we will respect them and we want to try and back up Saturday’s result with another one.”
