Bell and his defensive colleagues shut-out Blackburn Rovers and limited them to just a couple of chances throughout the 90 minutes, collecting another point in a relentless schedule that is showing no signs of slowing down either.
The former Rovers man is now relishing being a regular fixture in Town’s defence and enjoys being a part of a hostile atmosphere when teams arrive in Bedfordshire.
“We try to make Kenilworth Road a bit of a fortress and any team that comes here, we are going to make it hard for them and I think that is what we did today.
“We had a few chances in the first half and we were unfortunate not to get a goal but we will take the clean sheet and the point and move on.
“It was scrappy last game as well but sometimes games are like that. You have to make it scrappy and hard for the other team and that’s what we did today. They’re in a good position so we just wanted to do well against them.”
Continuing, Bell said: "All these teams we want to do well against them and we believe that we can. We’re showing it out there and like when we got three points against Bournemouth, we know we can beat these teams.
“We want to keep on progressing each year and I think we’re definitely doing it this year. To finish higher than we did last season would be a bonus and that’s what I think we can do.
“We are showing we can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the league and that’s what we will keep on showing until the end of the season. We will keep working hard to be on the right end on these results.”
