Watch | Allan Campbell's Birmingham reaction

Allan Campbell has said that he and his teammates need to ‘dust themselves off’ as they prepare for a busy run-in towards the end of the season.

It was an uncharacteristic performance from Nathan Jones’ side as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City, their first defeat in five league matches.

Speaking after the match, Campbell echoed the frustration of his manager and said: “It’s a tough one to take. I thought we started the game well and did the basics right, but the goals were tough to take. We need to look back it, really get to grips with it and make sure we improve. We have a good week of training this week to make sure we’re ready for the next game.

“It was disappointing the way we conceded the goals. We could have done better as a team, but we need to take these things on the chin, it was a poor performance, but we will look back at the positives and negatives and make sure it’s right for next week.”

After a number of positive results in recent weeks, one bad showing will not keep Allan or his teammates down for too long, with an unforgiving fixture list in store for the remainder of the season.

“I think that is the one thing about the boys. We won’t stop fighting, we will keep giving our all and trying to get into the game. We were unlucky with a couple of chances but at the end we will have to look at ourselves, the way we defended the goals and what we could have done better as a team. I think that is a disappointment.

“We have to dust it off, don’t get too down either because there is a lot of football to be played so we need to make sure we take that into the next run of games.

“It has been game after game, it has been relentless. We haven’t had much time on the training pitch and it will be a good chance to get a good week of training in, prepare to the maximum and make sure we’re ready to go again on Saturday."
