Trio return but ban rules out Nakamba

Rob Edwards will welcome back Chiedozie Ogbene, Gabe Osho and Issa Kaboré for Saturday’s Premier League trip to AFC Bournemouth.

The trio all missed the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last Sunday with Ogbene and Osho fit to be in contention and Kaboré available for selection having been ineligible to feature against his parent club.

One man who definitely won’t feature, however, is Marvelous Nakamba, who picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against the reigning champions so will be suspended for the game with the Cherries.

Despite missing the midfielder, Edwards is heading south optimistic of team’s chances despite coming close in their last two fixtures against last season’s champions and runners-up.

“It’s hard to go toe-to-toe against Arsenal and Manchester City but the players were brave, they were outstanding,” the manager said at his Friday press conference.

“I was able to sleep much better after those two losses rather than Brentford, which wasn’t us. If you’re going to lose, lose by being brave.”

The Town take on a Cherries side that have shot up the table after winning five and drawing one of their last seven Premier League fixtures.

“They’ve been impressive,” said the boss. “I think they’ve been building nicely. They were times earlier in the season they were not getting the points that their performances deserved.”

Full preview with the boss to follow.
