TEAM NEWS: THE HATTERS AT PORT VALE

Hatters boss Nathan Jones has freshened up his starting XI for this afternoon’s Sky Bet League Two fixture at Port Vale by making four changes from the 5-0 Boxing Day win at Swindon.

Coming into the team from the kick-off for the final game of 2017 are midfielders Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu and Lawson D’Ath, with forwards Elliot Lee and Harry Cornick – both who scored from the bench at the County Ground – also starting.

The Hatters are looking to extend the club-record 11-match unbeaten run away from home in the EFL, as well as the 13-game sequence in all competitions and the 126 goals scored in the calendar year.

Improving that last stat would also bring up a century of goals in League Two – including play-offs – with the current total of 99 bettered only by Manchester City in the top four levels of English football this season.
