After the disappointing loss against Reading on Saturday, James Bree comes into defence against the side he started his football career with. He starts in place of Matty Pearson, who begins on the bench for the first time since he joined the club in 2018 from today’s opponents.

Martin Cranie is back in the side against his former side as Ryan Tunnicliffe is amongst the substitutes, whilst Luke Berry - another former Tyke - starts for the first time since the Championship restart in place of Izzy Brown, who misses out with an achilles injury sustained shortly before half-time of the Reading game.

Elliot Lee starts for the second match in succession and makes up the fourth Hatter in the starting line-up to have played for Barnsley, while Danny Hylton is up front alongside James Collins, with Harry Cornick on the bench.

Town know that an important victory could move them to within two points of safety in the Championship with four fixtures remaining after tonight.
