On Saturday the U18s and U16s continue their impressive starts to the season, with both continuing their 100% record so far in their respective league competitions against local rivals Stevenage.
The U18s ran out 4-1 winners with Zack Nelson opening the scoring after just two minutes with a free-kick from the edge of the box. Millar Matthews-Lewis, Oliver Lynch and Archie Heron then completed the scoring.
The U16s bettered that score line by hitting half-a-dozen unanswered goals in a 6-0 victory which saw Matthew Takawira grab a hat-trick. Charlie Trustram, Max Scott and Jamie Odegah were also on the scoresheet.
The U18s followed this up with a friendly fixture at Cobham against Chelsea, where they took on an U17s Blues side on Tuesday afternoon. Two goals from second year apprentice Jake Burger, and one from U16s centre-back Jacob Vickers were enough to see Alan McCormack’s side come away with an impressive 3-2 victory.
Adrian Forbes’ U21 side were also in action this midweek as they hosted Fulham at The Brache, Daniel Idiakhoa and Josh Allen on target in a 2-2 draw, the latter from the penalty spot after the opening goalscorer had been fouled.
