Shirt raffle and academy raised almost £4,500 for Mind BLMK!

Luton Town Football Club would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket in the online raffle for a signed Hatters shirt as part of the recent matchday dedicated to Mind BLMK.

Each season we dedicate a match to the EFL’s partner charity Mind, with the local office being the focus of our Championship fixture against the Terriers last month.

We are pleased to announce that the winning ticket was bought by Vickie Giles, who received her prize last week and has sent us the picture below.

In total, the raffle raised £3,150, with a further £1,280 raised by our academy players, parents and coaches as part of Children’s Mental Health Week – meaning the club raised a wonderful amount of £4,430 for the mental health and wellbeing charity.

Hayley Mattacks, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Mind BLMK, said: “Working with the club has been a truly invaluable experience, both in terms of income raised and awareness of our work locally.

“Mind BLMK supports over 4,000 people across Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes each year and with support from Luton Town FC and its incredible fanbase, we can continue to be these for those in the community who really need us at this time.

“Our biggest thanks to you all, to those who donated, took part in the raffle, checked in with a friend, or talked about our work. It has made such a difference.”

If you would like to find out more about Mind BLMK’s services, or feel that you would benefit from their help personally, we’d encourage you to visit their website where you can find out more, or refer yourself for help. You don’t need to go to your GP for referral, and it’s completely free of charge.

The short YouTube video below explains more about Mind BLMK's services, with case studies from people who have been helped by them.

Please do take a moment to watch the film below and thank you, once again, for such brilliant support for the charity at such a difficult time for so many.
