The youngster was a regular in the Hatters’ pre-season campaign and made his competitive senior debut in the Carabao Cup against Stevenage.

Beckwith, 19, joined Biggleswade Town on loan in February 2020 but after the coronavirus pandemic halted all levels of football, he has since spent his time with the development squad at The Brache.

The midfielder’s contract was extended this summer and he will now gain regular minutes in a senior set-up with the Magpies.
