We are now able to confirm that pre-season friendly schedule will conclude with La Liga side Celta Vigo set to visit Kenilworth Road next month.
We will welcome Claudio Giráldez’s side to Bedfordshire for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 3rd August ahead of our 2024/25 Championship campaign.
The Sky Blues from Galicia finished 13th in the Spanish top-flight after the appointment of 36-year-old Giráldez in March, taking over from Rafa Benítez, helped steer the La Liga outfit away from relegation danger.
Set to start their 13th consecutive season on the top table of Spanish football, Giráldez’s squad will continue their preparations in England as they face West Ham United a week later.
Ticket prices for this fixture will be £10 for adults and £3 for Under-17s, while a live stream will be available to both set of fans on their own platforms.
A distribution plan for ticket sales from July 15th will be announced in due course, along with details for Hatters supporters to purchase a match pass to watch on our new website video platform LTFC+.
Meanwhile, Uwe Rösler’s Danish Superliga side AGF Aarhus will visit The Brache for a behind-closed-doors friendly on Saturday 13th July.
AGF have a rich history in Denmark, with five league titles and nine Danish Cups in their trophy cabinet, they have also appeared in European Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup quarter-finals.
We can also confirm that two friendlies will be played during the first team’s training camp to Slovenia against Ukrainian Premier League side FC Rukh Lviv and Turkish Süper Lig club Göztepe.
Our friendlies at The Brache and in Slovenia will be live streamed on LTFC+, with further details to be announced in due course, while our friendly at Dundee United on Friday 26th July will be streamed by the Scottish Premiership hosts.
