Slough born Micky joined Fulham from school but played only a handful of games in the Cottagers' top-flight side in four years so moved on to Millwall in 1965 where he was a regular in the team which won promotion from Division Three (now League One) a year later.

Following promotion, Micky found his chances at the Den limited so stepped down a level and came to Kenilworth Road in the summer of 1967 to join manager Allan Brown’s revolution in building a side to get out of the basement division.

A short, solid forward, Micky played in four different positions in his first five games for the club but was unable to stake a permanent place in the side that won the Division Four championship. Following promotion, Micky left Kenilworth Road in October 1968, after 17 first team appearances and two goals, to join Colchester United.

After a year at Layer Road, Micky played for several non-League clubs, including a successful spell at Wealdstone, before settling in Harrow where he became a newsagent and subsequently retiring to Spain.
