As an accomplished right-back or centre-half, the 22-year-old brings versatility to manager Nathan Jones’ defensive options and as a free agent following his departure from the Madejski Stadium at the end of last season, he is able to sign for the Hatters outside the transfer window.
Osho spent over a decade with Reading, coming through the academy a couple of years behind another right-sided defender the Town plucked from the Royals’ ranks with great success – a certain Jack Stacey!
He impressed during the latter stages of last season, where he made five Championship appearances, including in Reading’s 5-0 victory against the Hatters at Kenilworth Road where he played the full 90 minutes at right-back.
He had already gained first-hand experience of men’s football in 2017 and 2018, when he spent time on-loan with Maidenhead United and Aldershot Town.
He made his Championship debut back in December 2018 against Middlesbrough and later joined Bristol Rovers and Yeovil Town in other loan spells away from the Royals.
Osho, who captained Reading’s Under-23s, said: “It’s taken a bit of time since I first heard it was a possibility of coming to Luton, but I’m buzzing to be here.
“I made a decision to leave Reading because I wanted an opportunity like this for the next part of my development, and I’m so pleased it’s been sorted and I’m now a Luton Town player.
“I’ve only got good experiences of Kenilworth Road from last season. I can’t wait to get started and get back out there in an orange shirt!”
Welcome to Kenilworth Road, Gabe!
