The Hatters have already bolstered their midfield with two quality signings in George Thorne on loan from Derby County and George Moncur from Barnsley, who signed a permanent contract that runs until 2021.
"As you can imagine, the phone never stops ringing," Harford said. "Mine, Gary's, everyone else's about players coming in, going out, so we are busy like every other club will be. We are looking to strengthen, 100 per cent for the run-in at the end of the season, we don't want to leave ourselves short in terms of players.
"There might be something happening, but football changes every day, it changes every hour, things change. You might pick up an injury, a suspension or someone might be fit who you thought wasn't going to be fit. Things change on a daily basis, we're prepared for what's ahead of us and we'll be looking to bring some players in.
"We had Elliot out and Harry Cornick's been out, that's been our priority, trying to find a striker. We haven't had any success at the moment, we've come close, but Danny will be back in a couple of games and Elliot is more or less there, so we are on the lookout as we always are. We're always on the lookout for good players to try and improve the squad and as a club we've got to be doing that."
Mick has so far overseen a draw and a win in the two league games he has been in charge for, as the club continues the search to appoint Nathan Jones' permanent successor.
The support the former Town striker has received since he took over the reins has been superb, and when asked as to whether he would consider continuing in the role until the end of the season, he said anything beyond his current remit would involve having a conversation with chief executive Gary Sweet and the board.
Harford said: "I'm the interim manager, I'm embracing it, but we are still in the market for a new manager and it's in Gary's hands and the board's hands. I've just been concentrating the last few days on the two games coming up.
"I will do what's asked of me to be done. If Gary asked me, 'could Mick? We've not got a manager until the end of the season,' I will do what is right for Luton Town Football Club, in terms of I'll see where we are, if he wants me to do it, if he asks me to do it, I'll definitely sit down with him and answer what questions they want to give to me.
"[When I took over] I thought I may as well enjoy it, it's a great challenge. The reception the fans have given me, it's something to really, really cherish and enjoy. It's very, very humbling in terms of when I walk across that pitch. But it's the players who put in the performances, they've been brilliant.
"Am I enjoying it? Some days. It's a challenge and I'm going to embrace it and do the best I can.
"The players are the ones that go out there and get the results. We can just point them in the right direction, we can give them a bit of guidance. But at the end of the day, they're the ones who have to go out and put in performances like that. I thought they deserved every accolade that was thrown at them by me and by the supporters."
