To a man (and woman), your support was simply magnificent. It was positive, passionate, incessant and very loud which created an awesome atmosphere both at Kenilworth Road and even for the armchair supporter.

Without such outstanding support the result may have been different but we saw players and supporters all working hard for a positive result.

As we have stated in the last week, your support over the coming season will be critical to our success and it was great to witness no negativity whatsoever last night, for which everyone involved is immensely grateful.

If we keep that up, we’ll do very well this season.
