On Rotherham: “They’re a tough side and it’s only early days yet, but they’re more experienced at this level than we are of late. They went up, came down and have gone back up again, so they’ve got real good continuity with the same manager and same people around the club.
"They will have learned from the first experience they had and they’re actually slightly more experienced than we are at this level, I would think.
"I know Paul Warne very well, he’s a good friend of mine and his teams mirror him. I know exactly how he plays and how he sets up his teams.
It will be an extremely tough game tomorrow night and it’s one of those cliches; can they handle it at Rotherham on a Wednesday night. It’s going to be a tough game, we know that.
On their threats: “Their whole 11 can cause you problems. It’s not individuals. They’ve got people that can score goals but they’re a collective. They’re a bit like us. It’s not a perennial Championship-winning team that have multi-million pound strikers, but they will have threats, so they’re a bit like us.
“We need our threats to play well and they have threats, so they need those threats to play well. If they do it will be a tough game.”
On Paul Warne: “He’s been there longer because he was fitness coach there as well. He had Danny Hylton there. I think he earned his stripes in terms of trust, took the manager’s role and did really well. He’s really well thought of there and he’s a guy that players want to play for him. So it will be a tough game, it really well.”
Who?
Rotherham were promoted to the Championship last season after finishing second following the League One campaign ending on points-per-game basis because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since the turn of the millennium, the Millers have had five full seasons in the second division, with this being the sixth.
The Manager – Paul Warne
Paul Warne retired as a player following a number of years with the Millers and then went on to manage them from 2016 onwards.
In that time, he has delivered two promotions from League One and is extremely well regarded by Rotherham fans for his loyal services to the club as a player and manager.
Main threat – Dan Barlaser
With two goals this season, Dan Barlaser is Rotherham’s joint top scorer after signing from Newcastle United in October.
The 23-year-old midfielder had been with the Magpies from the very start of his footballing career but made the permanent switch to the AESSEAL New York Stadium following a successful loan spell at the club last season.

Kick-off is 7:45pm at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Wednesday 4th November.
