The 6pm kick-off is live on Sky Sports and presents the opportunity for Rob Edwards to secure back-to-back wins following the Boxing Day victory against Norwich City.
On QPR, Edwards said: "We’ve been able to get our eyes on them a little bit, their first couple under Neil. We know them fairly well but of course he’s going to want to put his stamp on things as well.
"Similar to us, you can’t change too much too soon. They have some very talented footballers, we, myself and Richie, have already come up against them earlier in the season, and they’re a good team. We’re going to have to be right at it again which I’m sure we will be."
The opposition:
Queens Park Rangers currently find themselves in seventh position, outside of the play-off places on goal difference.
Until the arrival of new boss Neil Critchley, the R's had found themselves without a win in six matches but the former Blackpool manager has overseen a steady start to his tenure, with a win and a draw in his first two matches. Jimmy Dunne scored in a 1-0 away win against Preston North End, whilst they added to their tally with a goalless draw against Cardiff City on Boxing Day.
Chris Willock and Lyndon Dykes are tied on six goals each so far this season, whilst Illias Chair - recently part of Morocco's journey to the semi-finals of the World Cup - has set-up six goals as well as scoring three himself. The number 10 came off the bench against Cardiff and could be in line to make his first start since returning.
Last time we met:
The Hatters moved back into the Championship play-off spots with a 3-1 home win over joint leaders Queens Park Rangers in October.
Elijah Adebayo gave Luton a first half lead and Cameron Jerome doubled Town's advantage in the 77th minute. An unfortunate Ethan Horvath own goal gave QPR hope in added time but that was short-lived when Luke Freeman scored against his former club to secure all three points.
