Match Preview | Preston North End (H)

The Hatters are back in league action on Saturday afternoon with Preston North End the visitors at Kenilworth Road.

Following Carabao Cup disappointment in midweek, the Hatters turn their focus back to the Sky Bet Championship and securing a first win of the season having drawn the first two.

The opposition:

Preston have started their league campaign with two goalless draws against Wigan Athletic and Hull City respectively.

They did, however, claim their first win of the season in midweek with a thumping 4-1 win against fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup.

Midfielder Ali McCann may well have played himself into contention for Saturday's match after netting a brace, with Manchester United loanee Alvaro Fernandez setting him up on both occasions.

Last time we met:

It was an evening to remember when Preston were last in town, as Nathan Jones' side swept them aside and earned themselves a superb 4-0 win at Kenilworth Road.

Midfielder Luke Berry scored either side of a Fred Onyedinma strike, whilst the win was set in stone when Bambo Diaby netted an unfortunate own goal.
