Match Preview | Preston North End (A)

Luton Town face Preston North End at Deepdale on Wednesday evening looking to continue their four-match unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship.

Rob Edwards' side are on the road again following a 1-1 draw against Coventry City on Saturday, whilst Preston suffered a 3-0 defeat against Lancashire rivals Burnley.

The opposition:

Preston North End come into the game on the back of two consecutive losses in the Sky Bet Championship. After they were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup by Tottenham Hotspur, they suffered a home defeat against Bristol City and were beaten by league leaders Burnley at the weekend.

Ryan Lowe has been in charge at Deepdale since December 2021 and will be targeting an improvement on their 13th place finish last season. The former Plymouth Argyle manager's leading scorer so far this term is Ched Evans with seven goals but the 34-year-old is unavailable as he is currently serving a four-game suspension for violent conduct.

Last time we met:

Preston edged a tight affair at Kenilworth Road in almost 40 degree heat back in August. Brad Potts scored the only goal of the game with a spectacular volley in the first half as the Hatters spurned a number of good opportunities.

Months prior, the Hatters put four goals past the Lilywhites without reply, thanks to a Luke Berry brace, Fred Onyedinma and a second half own goal.

Stadium parking is priced at £15 per vehicle and sold in advance of the fixture date, subject to availability. External parking on Moor Park car park is available on a first-come, first-served basis for £7. It is situated across from the stadium on Sir Tom Finney Way.
