A difficult opening three games has seen the Hatters pick up one point from their two opening Sky Bet League One games, whilst also being knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
All three of the teams they have faced so far have been former Premier League teams, in what has arguably been the toughest start possible for a team at this level.
Whilst they might not be a former Premier League side, Peterborough will still provide a stern test – fancied by many to at least make the play-offs, Steve Evans has recruited heavily as they look to better last season's finish of ninth.
Whilst former Hatter Jack Marriott moved on from Posh, his boots have so far been filled comfortably by ex-Stevenage forward Matt Godden. Midfielder Gwion Edwards was sold to Ipswich Town, but the acquisitions of Siriki Dembele and Alex Woodyard amongst others will no doubt be a big boost.
In Evans they have a manager with a very good pedigree of taking sides up, having guided Crawley Town out of Non-League and all-but secured their promotion to League One, whilst also guiding Rotherham to the Championship.
The Hatters may be without Danny Hylton for Saturday as he has a small thigh problem, which you can read more about by clicking here, but he's the only doubt for this weekend's game, with Luke Berry getting minutes at the end of the West Bromwich Albion match.
(Luke came on for the final seven minutes at The Hawthorns on Tuesday evening - you can read a piece on the midfielder and watch his post match interview by clicking here)
THE GAFFER SAYS:
On the players' ambitions for the season: "The players set their own targets. I have ambitions of where I believe we can be, and I believe that we can challenge.
"I believe that we are strong enough to be competitive at this level. We recruited that way. It might take another year, I don't know. But we are equipped, we have a group of players that are talented, that are fit, energetic, that want to work hard, that are professional, that can handle a football.
"So providing the manager and the coaching staff provide them with a structure and a know-how to use those, then I feel we can be competitive. I'm not going to say 'Right, we want to be top two, or we want to be this or we want to be that'. We have to respect the level and the clubs that are here, but we believe we have what it takes to be competitive."
"We were the highest scorers in the English Football League last year, but we knew that we weren't going to be able to go and roll over Portsmouth and a side of Sunderland's calibre, and do the same to them, because it's a step up in level.
"Peterborough are a good side, but they'll be coming up against a good side in us, so I hope that we won't be another victim of their start, and we really want to get our own campaign underway."

WHO?
After appointing Steve Evans as boss following the departure of Grant McCann in February, the Scotsman was unable to guide Posh into the play-offs, winning four of his 12 games in charge last season. Buoyed by the goals from Marriott and the creativity of Marcus Maddison – the former has since moved onto Derby, whilst the latter is on the transfer list – Evans has recruited quality and in quantity. In fact, not a single player who started the final game of last season was in the XI who started against Bristol Rovers on the opening day of this campaign.

Tomorrow afternoon's fixture will be refereed by Graham Salisbury, who has taken charge of two games this season.
