MATCH PREVIEW: MANSFIELD TOWN V LUTON TOWN

The Hatters face one of their biggest tasks of the season tomorrow when they take on Steve Evans' Mansfield Town at the One Call Stadium.

The Stags – like the Hatters – have been touted as one of the favourites for promotion and Evans has made a number of summer acquisitions to bolster his squad as they look to fight it out for a place in the third tier.

Nathan Jones has also made some reinforcements over the summer, including the capture of Cambridge United midfielder Luke Berry earlier on this afternoon on a three-year deal.

THE GAFFER SAYS:

On coming up against Steve Evans and his assistant Paul Raynor: "They are fiery, we all have an element of fire, a real zest about us.

"Afterwards though we have a drink, a couple of chicken nuggets and we have a good chat about it. He is always good company is Steve."

On what Steve Evans expects from his side: "For the 90 minutes he expects a certain level from his team. He expects a lot from those that are on the park and he gives that from the technical area, so it's always good. It's always a real good battle when you come up against Steve's teams and that's what it's going to be like at the weekend."

WHO?

A side that won promotion from the National League in 2013, the Stags are now playing for the fifth consecutive season in the fourth tier. Former Mansfield defender Adam Murray was in charge at the One Call Stadium until he departed in November last year, being replaced by ex-Rotherham United and Leeds United boss Steve Evans. They fell short of the play-off places last season, finishing in 12th place, but are now a much different outfit to the one that finished last term.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 26th August at the One Call Stadium.

TICKET & TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Hatters Ticket Office are no longer selling tickets, however, supporters who are still looking to purchase tickets can contact Mansfield directly on 01623 482482, with the Stags continuing to sell tickets from the away allocation (subject to availability). Collections on the day at the One Call Stadium will be available from the away booth at the away turnstiles entrance.

The Mansfield Town website suggests the following information for supporters travelling up from the South: 'Take the M1 exiting at junction 28, then take the A38 towards Mansfield. After around six miles turn right into Belvedere Street (at crossroads), then after a quarter of a mile, turn right into Quarry Lane for One Call Stadium.'

LAST TIME WE PLAYED?

The Hatters played the Stags back in mid-April, when Alfie Potter gave the hosts the lead on the One Call Stadium, before Danny Hylton's second half Panenka penalty insured the points were shared.
