MATCH PREVIEW: LINCOLN CITY V LUTON TOWN

The Hatters travel up to Lincoln City tomorrow as they look to continue their promising start to the Sky Bet League Two season.

A late comeback draw against Mansfield Town last weekend saw the Hatters take fifth spot in the division, whilst the Imps currently sit 13th after their emphatic 4-1 win over Carlisle United on Saturday.

THE GAFFER SAYS:

On Lincoln City: "They're a good side, trust me. They're very organised, they know what they are doing. They are a real physical threat and a forward-thinking side. We know we are going to have to be at our best.

"I don't think they'll surprise a few people – that would be disrespectful to Lincoln – but they will be there or thereabouts. I fancy them to be a really good side."

On our fantastic following on the road: "I don't expect anything less [the supporters turning up in great numbers]. I'd be a bit disappointed if they didn't to be honest!

"It's not a surprise when they turn up, it's more a surprise when they don't, they've been outstanding. We didn't give them the 45 they deserved last week in terms of the first half. Second half we did and we showed them that we have got character in the side to keep going and that we have got the quality to bring off the bench – I was pleased with that."

WHO?

Champions of the National League last season, Danny Cowley's tough-to-beat Imps are expected to do well this season, given how well they got on in 2016/17, as well as their fairly bright start to life back in the fourth tier.

Former Stags Matt Green and Matt Rhead lead the line for Lincoln and with both men over six feet tall – as well as ex-Hatters loanee Ollie Palmer, who has been coming off the bench – it's easy to see why the Imps are incredibly effective from set-pieces.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 2nd September at Sincil Bank.

Tomorrow's game is an ALL-TICKET fixture and supporters who have not purchased one in advance are advised not to travel.
