Following victory against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, Horvath flew straight to Germany where the team have since put in the work ahead of two friendlies before the World Cup.

They square off at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf for only the third time in an international encounter, with USA winning the previous friendly 3-2 in 2006.

The US national squad will then travel to Spain where they will face Saudi Arabia in their final warm-up game at the Estadio Nueva Condomina, home of Real Murcia on Tuesday night.

Once again, Horvath will look to feature as he hopes to stake his claim for the number one spot ahead of the World Cup that is now less than two months away.

Amari'i Bell is also in contention for Jamaica's international friendly against Argentina next Wednesday.

Bell has been capped seven times previously by the Reggae Boyz and if selected to play could be lining up against Lionel Messi.

Ed McJannet came off the bench to help Republic of Ireland Under 19s claim a 6-0 win against Gibraltar Under 19s yesterday.

It was a dream start to their Under 19 Euro campaign, as they now begin preparations to face Wales and Hungary in the coming days.
