Luton v Huddersfield: Mind BLMK dedicated match day

On Saturday, we welcome Huddersfield Town back to Kenilworth Road for our Sky Bet Championship clash behind closed doors. The match has extra significance as our dedicated matchday for the EFL’s charity partner, mental health charity – Mind.

Ahead of the match, and throughout matchday our focus will be on our local Mind office; Mind BLMK (Bedford, Luton & Milton Keynes).

The support they offer isn’t just for people who may seem unwell. They offer a wide range of services to help people who have worries in their day-to-day life, and who may wish to share their thoughts with others in a similar situation. Mind BLMK offers a wide range of services aimed at meeting individual needs and promoting mental health, recovery and independence.

Each year, Mind BLMK support more than 4,000 people across the area. That’s roughly equivalent to the number of people who can be seated in the Main Stand at Kenilworth Road.

If you would like to find out more about Mind BLMK’s services, or feel that you would benefit from their help personally, we’d encourage you to visit their website where you can find out more, or refer yourself for help. You don’t need to go to your GP for referral, and it’s completely free of charge.

Mind BLMK have provided us with a link on YouTube to a short film, which explains more about their services, with case studies from people who have been helped by them. Please do take a moment to watch the film below.

We’re looking forward to representing Mind BLMK on Saturday, and helping to raise awareness of their important work. If you would like, you can also make a small donation of £3 by texting MINDBLMK to 70450. Texts cost £3 plus one standard message rate.

Thank you for your support.
