LOAN ROUND-UP | PANTER MAKES DEBUT FOR HENDON

Young Hatters defender Corey Panter made his debut for Southern League Premier Division South side Hendon last week, as a number of Hatters out on loan had to sit and watch their temporary teams from the stands with it being FA Cup weekend.

Panter made his first start for the Greens last Wednesday in their 4-0 defeat to Farnborough, before starting the following match on Saturday against Beaconsfield Town.

The Greens changed manager last week, with former Barton Rovers and St Albans boss Jimmy Gray departing to be replaced by Lee Allinson, who had been in charge at Biggleswade Town.

With Corey having not been eligible for the first game of his loan, an FA Trophy tie against Whitehawk, and then the following two matches being postponed due to the weather, Allinson put him straight into his starting line-up at left-back for his first game at the helm against Farnborough.

The 19-year-old then retained his place on Saturday to play his part in what was only the north Londoners' second league victory since August, beating Beaconsfield 2-1 at Silver Jubilee Park – the winner coming courtesy of former Town forward Isaac Galliford.

Glen Rea started a fourth game of his loan at National League side Woking, but this time it was a friendly against Merstham Town with the Cards already having exited the FA Cup.

A 2-0 defeat to the Isthmian Premier Division side won't take away from more valuable game time for the former Republic of Ireland U21 international as he builds his fitness levels up after ten months out with injury.

Donervon Daniels, Josh Neufville and Jake Jervis were all not involved for their teams, with the terms of their loan preventing FA Cup involvement, whilst Frankie Musonda’s St Albans City didn't have a game having also been knocked out in the qualifying rounds.
