The 27-year-old attacker joined the Hatters on a free transfer from League One side Accrington Stanley in August and has made 19 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The ex-Barnsley and Shrewsbury wideman helped set up a hat-trick for James Collins on his debut against Norwich in the Carabao Cup first round, then scored winning goals against Reading in the second round and Derby in the league, for his first at Championship level.

Nine of his appearances have come as a starter, and the man known as ‘Clicker’ told lutontown.co.uk: “I’m really happy to be committing my future to Luton Town.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and have been made to feel welcome by everyone at the club, from the directors to the management, coaches, the rest of the squad and the fans.

“Those two games in which we were able to have them at the stadium were fantastic and I can’t wait to experience a packed Kenilworth Road once everything gets back to normal.

“We’ve had a promising first four months of the season and I feel that I’ve played my part, but I know there’s much more to come as I get more and more used to the Championship by the week.

“We’ve got some great lads here who have helped me settle in so quickly and the team spirit is unreal. We know that we can improve further on what we’ve done so far and we want to kick on and establish ourselves as a top half of the table team.”

Manager Nathan Jones was delighted to tie the Yorkshireman down, adding: “Jordan came in during the summer from a lower level and it was an opportunity for him to play in the Championship.

“He’s quickly proved he’s a Championship player and we’re delighted with the progress he’s shown, so much so that we felt we needed to secure his future.

“From the moment I met him and spoke to him, I knew Clicker would be a great fit for us and the more we see in training and matches, that is reinforced. This contract extension is deserved and it gives him that bit more security as he settles in the area.”
