Hatters' Heritage is a group which has recently been set up under the watchful eye of Club Historian Roger Wash.

At its recent inaugural Annual General Meeting, Roger was appointed as the group's first Chairman and will serve on a seven-man committee alongside Club representative, Kevan Platt.

John Kingham was elected as Treasurer and Philippe Hucklesby as Secretary, with Andy King, Brian Webb, David Cain and Dave Cockfield comprising the remainder of the committee.

Hatters' Heritage adopted its constitution with a clearly stated objective: The objects of the Society are for the advancement of education to benefit the public by encouraging the preservation and appreciation of the heritage and history of Luton Town Football Club.

The group already has some bold plans for the future which will include the build and design of a comprehensive website depicting the 133-year history of the Club. The plan is to include match reports, photographs and imagery of each match (where such material exists), together with player biographies and an in-depth look into the fascinating characters who have played their part in our rich 133-year history.

Hatters' Heritage also intends to stage social events – the first of which took place in March when John Moore and Scott Oakes entertained their audience with great tales from their respective times at Kenilworth Road. There will be many more such events to look forward to.

If you would like to become a member of Hatters' Heritage an annual subscription will cost £10, or £2 for Under 16s.

Membership will entitle you to an exclusive pin badge; discounted entry to any future social events; and regular communications from Hatters' Heritage about the progress of the website and of the group as a whole.

The committee would welcome input from all members and would love to see some of our younger fans become involved in future activities – especially the website development where some existing committee members will admit to being technologically challenged!!

If you would like to join Hatters Heritage then please send a cheque, made payable to Hatters' Heritage, to Kevan Platt at the Club address, or, if easier, you can pay in cash by dropping the membership fee at the Club Reception or Ticket Office, clearly marked 'For the attention of Kevan Platt'.
