Hatters forward Jake Jervis has agreed to join AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old signed for the Town on transfer deadline day last January, and has made 13 appearances since then, helping the club win promotion from Sky Bet League Two.

He moves to fellow League One club Wimbledon having started one game, the Carabao Cup first round defeat at West Brom, and appeared twice from the bench so far this season.

Jake is available to the Dons for their game at Burton Albion tomorrow, but will not be eligible to play in the two games against the Town later this season.

Manager Nathan Jones said: "Jake was frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities here, so we felt it was best if he went out and did a loan and got some game time.

"We had a number of interested parties, but we felt this was the right move for him. We believe in Jake, but with the quality and competition we have here with the strikers, we just felt that his game time would be limited.

"We wish him all the best because he's still our player and we want to one, protect the asset, but also ensure that he's moving forward."

All at Kenilworth Road would like to wish Jake good luck during his time at Kingsmeadow.
