The Clarets are familiar opposition in recent times, with both ourselves and the Lancashire club promoted from the Championship just over a year ago before meeting in the Premier League last term.
Still without a permanent manager following Vincent Kompany's move to German giants Bayern Munich last month, Burnley will undoubtedly be as tough a test under the Kenilworth Road lights as they come, with Rob Edwards' side hoping to overturn narrow home defeats in those two previous campaigns.

Sitting out the Carabao Cup first round action that week, with both clubs not entering the competition until the second round stage in the final midweek of August, the Hatters face two successive weekend away trips, on Saturday 18th August to League One champions Portsmouth before heading to the north-west a week later to take on Preston North End.
August ends with a home clash against Queen's Park Rangers, a side the Hatters completed the double over in Edwards' first season in charge, before September games against two more familiar faces from recent seasons in the Championship - Millwall away and Sheffield Wednesday at home - ahead of a long trip to Devon on Saturday 28th to face Plymouth Argyle, now under the leadership of Wayne Rooney.
Our first Tuesday night game under the lights comes against newly-promoted Oxford United on 1st October, then a trip to the other relegated club from last season, Sheffield United, leads us into the first derby of the season, with Watford visiting Kenilworth Road on Saturday 19th October.
All Hatters will be looking for a repeat of the fantastic performance the last time our Hertfordshire rivals came to town, when Gabe Osho and Allan Campbell's goals secured a 2-0 win, with this term's return at Vicarage Road set for Saturday 22nd February.
October's fixtures are completed by dates with our two play-off opponents from 2022/23, with Sunderland making the midweek trek to Bedfordshire on Wednesday the 23rd (we'll also do the reverse trip in midweek, on Wednesday 12th February) while we visit Coventry on Saturday the 26th.
The festive period kicks off with the third newly-promoted club, Derby County, visiting on Saturday 21st with two of our recent EFL promotion stalwarts returning to Kenilworth Road in former captain Sonny Bradley and striker James Collins.
We then decamp to the south-west for Christmas with a Boxing Day trip to Bristol City followed by a swift return journey down the M4 on 29th December to Swansea, before we host Norwich City on New Year's Day, with memories still fresh in the mind of our victory over the Canaries on Boxing Day 2022, with Cauley Woodrow's last-gasp goal giving Rob marking Rob's first home game in charge with his first win as Hatters boss.
The return game with QPR at Loftus Road follows on Saturday 4th, with more fond memories of the manager's early days in charge resurfacing after our 3-0 victory there in the 2022/23 game, like this season, scheduled immediately after Norwich, with two goals from Carlton Morris and a stunner from Alfie Doughty (pictured below).
Other notable fixtures include beaten play-off finalists Leeds, who we visit on Tuesday 26th November and host on Saturday 5th April, with Easter spent at Derby on Good Friday, 18th April, before Bristol City come to the Kenny on Monday 21st.
The home campaign is brought to a close on Saturday 26th April with a game against Coventry, the side we overcame in that unforgettable Championship play-off final at Wembley 13 months ago, before a final away day at West Brom on Saturday 3rd May.
Please note that at present this is a draft fixture list and all dates are subject to change.
