GRAEME JONES ON SONNY BRADLEY, KAZENGA LUALUA AND DAN POTTS

Hatters boss Graeme Jones has said that Sonny Bradley and Kazenga LuaLua are edging closer towards full fitness as the Town head into their final ten games of the Sky Bet Championship campaign – with Wigan Athletic the opponents on Saturday.

The pair haven’t been involved since the 1-0 victory at Middlesbrough, but Jones is hoping to see them back in the first team picture at the earliest opportunity.

Jones said: “Sonny is getting there slowly. He’s been working with the sport scientists so we just keep trying to progress him. The same with Kaz, just keep trying to progress day-on-day but obviously we’ve got a three-game week not far away so we don’t really want to take any chances, so we’re getting there.”

Dan Potts hobbled off against Stoke City, but the gaffer wants to see his defender back available with a three-game week around the corner.

“Dan’s a little bit more confident than I was after seeing him on Saturday. We’re hoping that he’s going to contribute in the next three-game week so hopefully it won’t be too long out,” the 49-year-old continued.

“We rotated one position on Saturday and Izzy had been lying in his bed for seven days. We lost Luke late, so we didn’t have the luxury we had in the last three-game week and that’s why there is a lot of points at stake in three games in seven days.

“We need to make sure in the next one that we have that luxury because I think it makes a difference but overall, if you look at the two home games, we played Brentford who were third or fourth in the league and played Stoke and we got four points so it wasn’t a bad tally.

“I don’t just say this, I mean it because it’s the truth. [I am focused on] just Saturday, I know we’ve got Preston, Swansea and Leeds but the work that has to go into one game is a lot so I can’t afford to focus on anything else. The three-game weeks you sort of look ahead a little bit so you’ve got an idea.”
